The Rolling Stones - 1 Oz - Silver Investment Coin

The British Music Legends series celebrates the greatest musicians the UK has produced. The fifth coin is dedicated to one of the most successful bands in rock history, the Rolling Stones. Formed in 1962 as a rhythm and blues band, the group around Mick Jagger, Keith Richards and Brian Jones went on to become "the greatest rock & roll band of all time". Symbolizing the rebellion of an entire generation, the band's career was marked by both dizzying highs and tragic lows and was riddled with numerous scandals. Musically, "Satisfaction", "Paint it Black", "Honky Tonk Women" and "Angie" are among the Rolling Stones' best-known works. The coin's design shows a four-piece band silhouetted in the spotlight. In the foreground you can see the hands of many fans cheering on their idols. The design also includes the words "The Rolling Stones" and the years "'62"-"'22". On the reverse is a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II and the denomination "£2". The limited premium coin was struck by the Royal Mint from one ounce of 99.9% silver. Supplied in a protective capsule.
