American Eagle Silver Coin
is very popular among collectors and investors, especially in America. It has been minted since 1986. The purity of the coins is set at 99.93% silver and 0.07% copper. This improves the coin's resistance to abrasion. The coin is made exclusively from silver mined in the USA. The design of the silver investment coin is based on the famous Double Eagle twenty dollar coin (1907-1933). The coin is the silver counterpart of the gold American Eagle.
Obverse
The figure of a walking Liberty (Freedom) by Adolph A. Weinman, which dates back to 1916. Liberty walks confidently toward the sunrise, draped in the American flag's stars and stripes. In her left hand she holds sprigs of laurel and oak, as a symbol of civic and military glory.
Reverse
On the other side is an eagle carrying an olive branch, which is the symbol of the United States.

The United States Mint is an agency of the Treasury Department responsible for producing coinage for the United States to conduct commerce and for controlling the movement of precious metals.
The first United States Mint was created in Philadelphia in 1792 and was soon joined by other centers whose coins were identified by their own mint marks. Today, there are four active mints: Philadelphia, Denver, San Francisco, and West Point.
