Design of the Year of the Horse

The reverse of the coin depicts a majestic mare with her young foal, both with elegant manes in an impressive galloping position. The two mirror each other's charm in their direct interaction. Towering mountains and a lush, peaceful pasture are depicted in the background. The design also includes the Chinese character for "horse", the inscription "HORSE 2026" and the Perth Mint's "P" mint mark. The obverse of the coin features a portrait of His Majesty King Charles III by Dan Thorne, as well as the weight, purity and face value.

Authentication features

The coin includes an authentication function on the reverse. This is a microscopic laser engraved letter that is only visible under a magnifying glass.
