The Man with the Golden Gun
In The Man with the Golden Gun, Bond searches for the "Solex Agitator", a high-tech component that Scaramanga stole to make a weapon for his solar power plant. Played by Roger Moore, making his second appearance as the daring agent, Bond uses all his tricks to outwit the assassin and his signature golden weapon, with the decisive action taking place in the unsettling setting of the funhouse, a deadly labyrinth of Scaramanga's tropical island mansion.
The front of the coin features the likeness of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II of the Ian-Rank Broadley family, the years of her reign: 1952-2022, the date 2024, weight, fineness and face value.
The reverse of the coin, designed by Sean Rogers, shows James Bond and Francisco Scaramanga standing back to back at the start of their pistol duel. The background also features the sea and islands with spiral shapes from the iconic barrel of Agent 007's gun logo. In the centre of the coin field is the coloured inscription "THE MAN WITH THE GOLDEN GUN FOR FIFTY FIVE YEARS", which appears below the Bond family crest with the motto "ORBIS NON SUFFICIT", which translates to "The World is Not Enough". Finally, the number 50 is placed at the bottom of the emblem, marking the 50th anniversary of this classic film.
