--------------------
TheCanadian Mint mints gold, silver, platinum and palladium investment coins known as Maple Leaf coins because they feature a maple leaf. The coin was designed by Walter Ott. The coin also incorporates a security mark - a small maple leaf with the year of issue ending e.g. "14" (can be seen under a magnifying glass). The security mark is made using the laser microfabrication technique used on all Maple Leaf gold and silver investment coins issued since 2014.
